Health and social care training and courses

Developing skills in health and social care training project

Norfolk County Council and Suffolk County Council provide access to fully-funded training in health and social care, along with a mentor support service. This training and mentor support is for existing health and social care staff who live and work in Norfolk.

Norfolk and Suffolk Care Support Ltd learning and development

The latest courses available in Norfolk and Waveney for workers in adult social care. Includes core and mandatory training, leadership and management and Covid-19 specific training.

Government funded health and social care courses

Health and social care courses that are fully-funded by the Government. Adults aged over 24 can gain a level 3 qualification (equivalent to A-Levels). Qualifications are available to any adult who has not already achieved a level 3 qualification. Find colleges and organisations in East Anglia that offer funded qualifications.

Steadfast skills support for the workforce

Steadfast offers fully-funded training to businesses in Norfolk to upskill employees. They offer the Level 2 Diploma in Care and many other courses.

Positive Behavioural Support training

Positive behavioural support is best practice when working with people who have:

  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism
  • Mental health problems

The support can enhance quality of life and increase independence. It reduces challenging behaviours and improves staff competencies and retention.
