Youth Pledge for Employers project

We are excited to announce the launch of the Youth Pledge for Employers project, a European Social Fund (ESF) funded project, working in partnership with Suffolk County Council and The Mason Trust until December 2023.

Who it's for

The project aims to engage with a wide range of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across the New Anglia LEP, to develop opportunities for young people to engage in work-based experience, structured employment activities and sector related learning.

The project team will work collaboratively with employers to facilitate the creation of traineeships, apprenticeships and employment (with training) roles within organisations, supporting both business growth and youth employment with better knowledge of work.

The project is looking for businesses interested in hosting work inspiration events, such as giving a talk or hosting a virtual tour of a workplace, and local SMEs that can offer work experience, apprenticeships or employment for 16-24 year olds.

Opportunities will be promoted on www.icanbea.org.uk, a website run by The Mason Trust, which helps to inspire young people to take control of their career.

How to get involved

Business Connectors Mark Surridge and Lisa Taylor (Norfolk) and Suzanne Couszins and Lisa Gilson (Suffolk) will be getting in touch with all Norfolk & Suffolk SMEs to find out what opportunities your company could offer.

Email youthpledgeforemployers@norfolk.gov.uk or visit the New Anglia website to find out more.
