Marriott’s Way is a 26 mile footpath, bridleway and cycle route which follows the routes of two disused railway lines, running between Aylsham and Norwich.
The route is named after the chief engineer and manager of the Midland and Great Northern Railway system William Marriott.

The path will be closed around the Sweet Briar Road area until 4 June 2019 due to UK Power Network roadworks. Please consider an alternative route, eg via Burnet Road, Hellesdon Hall Road, Slough Bottom Park southbound path, Sweet Briar Road, Dereham Road, Hellesdon Road and vice versa.
The bridge at Porters Lane, Lenwade is open to pedestrians but remains close for equestrian users due to safety concerns.
Equestrian Diversion (1.74km). Head North along Porters Lane. At crossroad turn left onto Rabbit Lane and follow until you meet Heath lane. Head south to rejoin Marriotts Way.
