Google Trekker trails

The entire 84 miles of the stunning Norfolk Coast Path was filmed with Google's innovative backpack Trekker camera over the summer of 2018.

Also captured in this unique way are sections of the Peddars Way and all the 26 miles of the Marriott's Way Norfolk Trail. This reaches from the countryside right into the heart of Norwich.

A short video tells the story of the how the pictures were gathered.

The film, made by a local videographer, showcases the route and range of landscapes found along the way. From salt marshes and wide sandy beaches to rolling fields and picturesque market towns.

Norfolk Coast Path

The Norfolk Coast Path runs for 84 miles from Hunstanton to Hopton-on-Sea.

Much of this walking trail runs through the dramatic landscape of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Experience seaside towns and villages, tidal marshes teeming with wildlife, wide sandy beaches, pine woodlands and huge skies.

Peddars Way

The trail starts in the Brecks and runs north from Knettishall Heath in Suffolk for 46 miles.

Set off in a unique area of forest, heath and low river valleys and travel through changing countryside to the north Norfolk coast near Hunstanton.

The Peddars Way follows a Roman road built along the line of an even older trackway. The name is said to be derived from the Latin word 'pedester', which means 'on foot'.

Marriott's Way - Norwich to Aylsham

Marriott's Way is a 26 mile footpath, bridleway and cycle route which follows the routes of two disused railway lines.

It runs between Aylsham and Norwich. Countryside, wildlife, public art and a wealth of local history can be found along the way.

Marriott's Way itself is a county wildlife site and passes through many interesting landscapes and wildlife-rich habitats, such as the Wensum river valley and Whitwell Common.
