Reuse Shops are great places to donate your unwanted household items. You could pick up an amazing bargain too. Whether you want golf clubs, a mirror, furniture or toys, the Reuse Shops are packed full of unwanted treasures waiting for a new home.
You can find the shops at eight recycling centres:
Speak to a staff member on site to donate unwanted items or to buy new ones.
You can pay with cash, credit or debit card (chip and pin and contactless).
We are changing our payment methods. From 1 December we will no longer accept cash payments for amounts over £10 and you will need to pay amounts larger than £10 with a debit or credit card.
Now selling electricals!
Reuse shops based at seven main recycling centres are selling electrical goods for the first time. So if you need a new hoover, TV or DVD player now might be a great time to come have a look. All items are professionally tested before sale and prices start from just £6. Reuse shops selling electricals are Caister, Mayton Wood, Hempton, Dereham, Kings Lynn, Thetford and Ketteringham.
Charity of the Year
Last year the Norfolk Wildlife Trust (NWT) were named our Charity of the Year at the Council's Reuse Shops. In June we presented the Trust with a cheque for £8,000 which was from the proceeds from the shops. This money will be used to support the Trust’s conservation work at more than 50 nature reserves across Norfolk, including habitat restoration, education, land acquisition, and advocacy.
A new charity will be announced later in the year.
