Parking at County Hall

The following groups of visitors can park on the main forecourt, free of charge. Please approach the kiosk at the main barriers for a permit.

  • Norfolk Records Office customers
  • Norfolk registrar services customers
  • Vehicles displaying a Blue Badge
  • Visitors attending a Blue Badge assessment
  • Passport enquiries

All other visitors between 7am and 4.30pm must use the pay on foot car park. Turn left off the main driveway, before the main barriers. Directions to County Hall (Google Maps). (opens new window)

Take a ticket on entry and put it into the slot at the exit barrier to exit. If you stay longer than one hour you will need to pay at the machine before you leave.

Only debit and credit cards are accepted. You will need to leave the car park within 15 minutes after you have paid.

  • Up to one hour – free
  • Up to two hours - £1
  • Over 2 hours up to 4 hrs - £4
  • Over 4 hrs up to 12 hrs - £5
  • More than 12 hrs - £15

After 4.30pm visitors may approach the kiosk at the main barrier for entry to the main car parks.

We cannot guarantee a parking space, apart from Blue Badge holders. Please consider alternative transport means to get to County Hall.

If the pay on foot car park is full, ask at the kiosk at the main barriers. An alternative may be available, but you may need to be prepared to leave the site to find public parking.
