About Transport in Great Yarmouth
The Great Yarmouth Transport Strategy 2025-2035 was adopted at Norfolk County Council's Cabinet meeting on 2 March 2026. The Strategy was also subsequently adopted by Great Yarmouth Borough Council on 10 March 2026.
The strategy highlights the transport infrastructure that we would like to see delivered, if funding becomes available within the next five to ten years, to enable sustainable growth, while protecting Great Yarmouth's culture and heritage.
The strategy has been developed in partnership with Great Yarmouth Borough Council including engagement with key stakeholders. We have held regular meetings with Borough Council officers and councillors. We also held stakeholder engagement workshops to help inform the development of the strategy.
We consulted on the draft Great Yarmouth Transport Strategy from 24 September to 5 November 2025.
