Microsoft Teams learner support
This guide is here to help online learners get started using Microsoft Teams. Your tutor will be able to provide you with support to access your course online so please do email them if you are unsure or would like further support.
How to access Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is accessed online through Microsoft 365 Copilot (formerly Microsoft Office) using your nccal.ac.uk email address.
Sign in using your nccal.ac.uk email address and password. The first time you log in your password will be emupig52!
Please change your password once you have logged in successfully.
You will now have access to Microsoft 365 Copilot including web versions of Microsoft Office. To access Microsoft Teams, click on the Apps icon, which is usually shown at the bottom of the list on the left side of the page, and then select the Teams icon from the list of Apps which appears.
Microsoft Teams should then load on the Activity screen. There you can see the course(s) on which you are enrolled. If you struggle to login or can't see the class or classes you are expecting to, please email details of your problem to [email protected]
If you are enrolled into a class that is about to begin and cannot log in to your account, don't worry. There will be a direct link to the class in the reminder emails you have been sent both 10 days and 1 day before the course begins. Using this direct link may mean you don't have access to all features of Microsoft Teams, including chat, but you will have access to the class and can get help logging in before the next session.
If you already have a different Microsoft account, for example through your work or a personal email account, we recommend using an InPrivate or Incognito web browser to stop the accounts getting confused.
Read our privacy notice to find out how we use your personal information.
