Gas bottles and cylinders
At our recycling centres
We accept some empty gas bottles and cylinders at all our recycling centres.
We do not accept:
- Nitrous Oxide (N2O) gas bottles or cylinders
- Oxygen (O2) gas bottles or cylinders
- Carbon dioxide (CO2) gas bottles or cylinders
- Any full or partially full gas bottles or cylinders, under any circumstances
Advice on disposal elsewhere
You can return gas containers to the gas company branded on the container. Visit the uklpg website for further information or search your local telephone directory/online under 'bottled gas'.
For:
- Calor gas cylinders: call Calor helpline 0800 626 626
- Unigas bottles: ring Flogas on 0800 574 574 for collection
- Soda Stream gas canisters (empty, full/part full): contact Soda Stream Customer care on 0845 601 0093 or email customer.care-uk@sodastream.com. They will arrange to send you a label to return the canisters
- Camping gas cylinders: contact your cylinder manufacturer
- Oxygen (O2): please contact your local hospital/supplier
- Carbon dioxide (CO2): canisters contact Kegwatch on 0808 100 1945 to arrange collection
