What we are doing about it

Youth Parliament will be working on these issues until the next Make your mark ballot in 2024. We will be campaigning locally and nationally - subscribe to our newsletter to find out how you can get involved.

We have told key stakeholders the results of the local vote, so they know what's important to you.

We ran a number of focus groups to find out your top concerns about young people's health and wellbeing. Youth parliament members then debated the concerns in the house of commons and then took a vote on the top concern for young people, which was health and wellbeing / the cost of living crisis.

Youth Parliament members then worked with our campaign partner Child Poverty Action Group to build the 2023 Youth Parliament campaign.

Our 2023 Campaign is Food for learning - we call on political parties to include free schools meals for all school-age children in their general election manifestos. We will then create a youth-led Food for Learning bill to put that into action.

We have a campaign pack which can give you loads of ideas on how you can get involved with this campaign, email us at ypm@norfolk.gov.uk.
