Hall Road

September to November 2016

A new shared-used pedestrian and cycle path to connect the existing path near the new Asda to University Technical College Norfolk on Old Hall Road.

This creates a much safer environment for cyclists commuting to and from the college and keeps them away from general traffic.

The changes included:

• Conversion of footway on the east side of Hall Road to shared-use foot and cycle path
• Replacing the existing 40mph speed limit on Hall Road with a 30mph speed limit
• Removing the pedestrian refuge near Robin Hood Road and replacing it with a larger pedestrian refuge in the same location
• Removing the pedestrian refuge near Fountains Road and providing a new pedestrian refuge closer to Fountains Road
