What is the Active Travel Ambassador (ATA) Programme?

The ATA Programme empowers secondary students (ages 11-16) to lead campaigns that promote walking, cycling, and road safety. It's free, curriculum-linked, and helps students build skills in:

  • Project management
  • Public speaking
  • Leadership
  • Data analysis
  • Marketing

And it works!

  • Framingham Earl High doubled cycling rates and installed a new cycle shelter
  • Ormiston Venture Academy increased active travel by 9% and purchased Go Carts
  • Every ATA school last year earned Modeshift STARS accreditation
