Norfolk parent and carer panel
The Norfolk parent and carer panel is a group of parents and carers who come together regularly to:
- Talk about their experiences of services covering families with children from 0-5
- Provide feedback on how these services can develop and work better together
- Have a direct influence on helping to further develop the Best Start in Life local offer
Who can join the panel?
- Mums
- Dads
- Carers
- Grandparents
- Kinship carers and others
Where the panel meets
The panel will meet regularly, at least once every two months. Meetings could be face-to-face or online depending on the availability of panel members. We will plan meetings well in advance and provide support to cover things such as travel costs, as needed.
What panel members do
We will ask panel members for their feedback on services and ideas for improvement. Panel members can take part in activities such as focus groups and surveys.
Panel members will learn about the Best Start Family Hubs and Healthy Babies approach and contribute to development plans. This could be in areas like breastfeeding, parental mental health and parenting support.
We will ask the panel for their thoughts and views on:
- Future services design
- Plans to improve the lives of children, young people and families in Norfolk
Support available to join the panel
When joining the panel, we will ask you about the support you may need. For example, help to cover childcare costs, travel arrangements, or meeting equipment - such as hearing loops.
