Support for adoptive families

Adoption is a process which impacts many people.
Adoptive families can receive different kinds of support. Norfolk Adoption Service is always available. It doesn't matter how much time has passed since you adopted children. Behaviour in later childhood can display the impact of neglect or trauma before adoption. We can provide support and advice about any aspect of adoptive parenting.
Adults who were adopted as children may wish to receive support. Trauma or rejection from their early years may result in powerful emotions in later life. Or you may want help in tracing their genetic family for any number of reasons.
Counselling is also available for parents whose children were adopted.
Some of the support services we offer
- Keep in touch by receiving our regular newsletter
- Workshops and training groups covering therapeutic parenting, contact, loss, sleep, and non-violence resistance
