Reward scheme

We value the commitment, care, and support foster carers and their families give children and young people in care. As a thank you, we give our foster carers:

• A £10 birthday voucher for each of the carer's own children each year
• A certificate of thanks and a £10 voucher for every 5 years of service
• A celebratory hamper after 25 years of service

We also support and encourage foster carers to develop their skills so that they can provide:

• Effective, trauma-informed care to young people aged 14 and over
• Care for children of all ages with disabilities

As an incentive, foster carers taking placements of young people over 14 years old or children with disabilities are given:

• A voucher for a family activity up to the value of £100 after 3 months of placement
• An additional payment of £500 after 1 year of placement, and for every complete year after that.
