Key partnerships and transforming services for adults with mental health needs

Community mental health services deliver care for adults with severe mental health needs as close to home as possible.

The NHS works to develop new and integrated models of primary and community mental health care. For more about this, see the NHS Long Term Plan and NHS Mental Health Implementation Plan 2019/20 - 2023/24.

Our mental health social care leads continue to work on plans to improve community mental health care. We work as partners with:

  • NHS commissioners (Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board)
  • Mental health providers

See the NHS England website for more about mental health transformation priorities.

You may have experienced mental health problems or care for someone with poor mental health. If so, you can help to transform community mental health services in Norfolk. For more information, go to the Rethink website.

We've also developed our approach to support local people. As part of NCC’s Better Together, For Norfolk strategy, we aim to help people stay well in their homes and communities.
