Little Ouse Path
Follow the gentle meander of the Little Ouse River between Thetford and Brandon. This trail starts from the centre of Thetford town and in a short distance showcases the best the wild Brecks landscape has to offer.
From towns to reedbeds, heathland and forest, with its rich heritage and fascinating wildlife this riverside route has something for everyone.
With both rail and bus links between Thetford and Brandon, and with plenty of parking available, this route is accessible for drivers and non-drivers alike.
Please respect the natural environment. Stay on the designated paths, and take any litter home with you.
Extra care should be taken walking, cycling or riding a horse along this riverside towpath as the area between Thetford and Brandon has been designated as a flood risk area.

Closures and temporary route changes

Due to an unsafe bridge maintained by Suffolk County Council, a temporary closure is currently in place at Brandon Bridleway 20 until 1 March 2027.
There is currently no alternative route in place.
