Charges for room hire from 1 April 2026

Prices are per hour (or part hour) and include VAT 

All rooms and libraries

(excluding Norwich Millennium Library, Gorleston Library Pavilion room lecture theatre, The Hive Great Yarmouth Library and teaching classrooms at Kings Lynn library)

• Commercial organisations including public sector: £20 inc. VAT
• Charity and Not for Profit community organisations: £10 inc. VAT

Main library area

Staff charges apply outside normal library opening times (after 7pm Monday to Friday, after 4pm on Saturday and before 10am and after 4pm on a Sunday)

• Commercial organisations including public sector: £25 inc. VAT
• Charity and Not for Profit community organisations: £25 inc. VAT

Separate meeting rooms within the libraries will be charged for outside of normal staffed times. Room availability outside of normal staff times is agreed at the discretion of the library manager. Charges will apply.

Banks use of library spaces including meeting rooms

• £40 inc. VAT

Polling Stations

• Branch library - £500 per day inc. VAT
• Mobile library - £250 per day inc. VAT for standby, £150 per day inc. VAT if called out.

Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library

• Vernon Castle room - £40 inc. VAT
• Business & IP Centre room - £40 inc. VAT
• Heritage room - £40 inc. VAT
• Library floor area - arrange locally with library manager
• Ground floor interview room, maximum 2 people - £10.00 inc. VAT

Charity and Not for Profit community organisations:

• Vernon Castle room - £20 inc. VAT
• Business & IP Centre room - £20 inc. VAT
• Heritage room - £20 inc. VAT
• Library floor area - arrange locally with library manager
• Ground floor interview room, maximum 2 people - £10.00 inc. VAT

• Meeting rooms 1/2/3/4 - £20 incl. VAT
• The HIVE (whole HIVE) inc use of kitchen - £60 per hour
• Shared area (screened) in agreement with manager - price on application dependant on area used

Charity and Not for Profit community organisations:

• Meeting rooms 1/2/3/4 - £10 incl. VAT
• The HIVE (whole HIVE) inc use of kitchen - £40 per hour
• Shared area (screened) in agreement with manager - price on application dependant on area used
