Doing business with Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service

Procurement process

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service spends around £5 million each year on the procurement of goods and services. We provide companies of all sizes with a wide range of business opportunities. As a department of Norfolk County Council, the service has a statutory duty to ensure that the procurement of supplies, works and services represents the most cost-effective solution and that the best value for money has been achieved.

To obtain the best value, most of our procurement is carried out through corporate contracts which have been subject to competition or joint arrangements with other local authorities and emergency services.

The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service procurement procedures are governed by Norfolk County Council standing orders, financial regulations and EU procurement directives (where applicable).
