Corporate Parenting Board workshops

This is a chance to meet senior leaders, decision-makers and elected members twice a year. You will be able to highlight and discuss what is important to you.

The Scoop magazine is for everyone in the Norfolk in Care Council.

Interview panels

Be part of a young person's panel. You will:

  • Interview candidates for senior positions in Norfolk's Children's Services
  • Consider what questions to ask
  • Share your opinion on who the job should be offered to

Prepare future foster carers

Be part of the 'skills to foster' NiCC session and meet with future foster carers. You can:

  • Help people who want to foster understand what is important to children and young people
  • Share what you think helps and what does not help young people settle into a new home

Young Inspectors

  • Receive training
  • Visit residential children's homes
  • Talk to young people that live there and hear about their experiences
  • Provide feedback for the home to reflect on

Surveys

You can take part in surveys on lots of different topics. We will make sure the results are published online so you can see what other young people thought and what will happen.

Other opportunities

  • Creative writing sessions
  • Workshops that use art as a form of expression
  • Community cultural food shares
  • Bespoke and topic based activities
