Norfolk County Council , 15 May 2025 11:16

The Flourish Awards has returned for 2025 - with nominations open until 30 May.

Hosted by the Children and Young People Strategic Alliance (CYPSA), the distinguished awards recognise the people, projects, teams and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to help children and young people in Norfolk to flourish.

The awards are now in their third year and are building on the success of the 300 nominees in 2023 and 2024.

Any project, team or organisation can be nominated by members of the public or a professional, with the winners being decided by a panel of children and young people (CYP), made up of members of Norfolk's young participation groups, and parents.

Visit www.norfolk.gov.uk/flourishawards2025 to make a nomination. Nominations are open until 30 May 2025.

There are eight Flourish Awards up for grabs, each based on an area of young people's lives which are important to them.

The eight nomination categories are:

  • Family and Friends Award
  • Learning Award
  • Opportunity Award
  • Understood Award
  • Resilience Award
  • Individuality Award
  • Safe and Secure Aware
  • Healthy Award

Sara Tough OBE, Executive Director of Children's Services at Norfolk County Council and Chair of the Children and Young People Strategic Alliance, said "Hosted by the Children and Young People Strategic Alliance (CYPSA), which I have the pleasure to chair, the awards are getting bigger and better each year. This is people's chance to get involved and recognise those who make a real, positive difference in the lives of children and young people in Norfolk."

Councillor Penny Carpenter, cabinet member for Children Services said: "There are so many amazing individuals and groups across the county who deserve recognition for their work with children and young people in Norfolk.

"Anyone can nominate a project, school, charity, business, team or individual; the only criteria are that they work with children and young people, they're based in Norfolk and have done something incredible."

The Flourish Awards welcomes nominations for individuals, teams, projects and organisations that have demonstrated excellence and a commitment to improving the lives of Norfolk's children and young people.

Visit the Flourish Awards 2025 website to make a nomination using the simple form. You can nominate as many projects, teams, individuals, or organisations as you like until the nomination window closes on Friday, May 30.
