Dylan, Norfolk Museums Service volunteer

Dylan volunteers for Norfolk Museum Service at Strangers' Hall, helping with odd jobs and gardening, and at Norwich Castle (based at Shirehall) where he helps with exhibition evaluation.
Dylan said: "I wanted to work in a museum and got the opportunity to take part in a project called Kick the Dust. Through that, I was able to visit Strangers' Hall and became a volunteer with them.
"Most of all, I enjoy the feeling of helping both the staff and other volunteers with their tasks. I also feel that I have gained an appreciation of how the museum functions.
"Volunteering has numerous benefits - from meeting like-minded people to the satisfaction of completing tasks that others will value. Anyone should try to see if they can find somewhere to volunteer."
