Kinship support team

- Social workers
- Occupational therapists
- Support workers
- Duty workers
- Support and contact co-ordinators
- Therapeutic parenting worker
How we can support you
We can give you advice over the telephone to:
- Help you resolve any issues with keeping in contact with a child's birth parents
- Exchange letters between the child and their family members. This can help keep your address confidential if necessary.
- Provide a needs assessment if the child was previously a looked after child. This might include a recommendation for interventions. Such as therapies that the adoption and special guardianship fund (ASGSF) pays for.
- Support you once you have been awarded a special guardianship order
- Signpost you to other services that can provide support
The team also runs workshops, sessions and training for carers and children.
