Rural champions from food and drink producers to tourism attractions are preparing to battle it out in the Norfolk Rural Business Awards - and the shortlist of finalists has been announced. 

They will compete across nine categories and the winners will be revealed at a ceremony at the Royal Norfolk Show on Thursday 25 June. 

Norfolk Rural Business Awards are organised by Norfolk County Council in partnership with the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association to showcase a wide range of our best businesses, community groups and people. 

This year's shortlisted finalists are: 

  • Best Rural Community Initiative sponsored by Pearn Wyatt & Son - Finding Magic, Pickenham Community Hub 
  • Best Rural Innovation in Practice sponsored by Birketts - Morley SAMS, Traditional Norfolk Poultry 
  • Best Food and Drink Producer sponsored by Fountain Fresh Imports - Flint Vineyard, Mabel The Bakery 
  • Norfolk's Unsung Hero sponsored by Poultec - Nigel Barnett, Dan Zaharia 
  • Best Food and Farming Champion sponsored by CLG Norfolk - Michael Balls, Poul Hovesen 
  • Best Emerging Talent sponsored by PlantGrow - Maxwell Eagle, Henry Parkinson 
  • Best Rural Tourism Attraction sponsored by Thursford - The Bug Parc, Wroxham Barns 
  • Best Woman in Agriculture sponsored by Lovewell Blake - Helen Reeve, Emily Winter
