Norfolk Crisis and Resilience Grant Programme
We're offering funding to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in Norfolk to deliver projects that help people avoid financial hardship and build long-term resilience.
This funding is part of a national Government programme and focuses on preventing crisis and strengthening community support, rather than responding to emergencies.
We're offering grants of £50,000 to £200,000 for projects that will run over 18 to 24 months.
Applications close at midnight on 13 September 2026.
What the funding is for
We're looking to fund larger-scale projects that:
- Help people avoid reaching crisis
- Build financial resilience over time
- Strengthen community-based support
- Work alongside (not duplicate) existing services in Norfolk
Projects should make a clear difference locally, for example by expanding successful work, reaching more people, or offering something new.
Who can apply
You can apply if your organisation:
- Is a VCSE organisation (such as a charity, community group or social enterprise)
- Delivers services that benefit people in Norfolk
- Has appropriate governance and financial controls in place
- Has experience of delivering community-based work
- Has the capacity to manage a grant of £50,000-£200,000
Partnership bids are welcome, as long as a VCSE organisation leads the application.
What kind of projects we'll support
We're particularly interested in projects that:
- Support people on low incomes or at risk of financial hardship
- Help people stabilise or increase their income
- Reduce financial pressures or unexpected costs
- Provide support that leads to longer-term change
- Strengthen local organisations or community networks
- Improve access to help and advice
Projects should contribute to at least one of these areas and show how they will make a lasting difference.
What the funding won't support
This funding is not for:
- Direct cash or emergency payments to individuals
- Activities already funded elsewhere
- Projects that duplicate existing services
- Small, short-term or one-off activity
We may consider practical support (such as food, goods or travel costs) if it is part of a wider project and meets the fund's criteria.
Is this the right fund for you?
This fund is likely to be a good fit if you are planning a larger-scale project or partnership that:
- Prevents crisis rather than responds to it
- Builds lasting impact over time
- Works with others as part of a wider system
If your idea is mainly about short-term emergency support, this may not be the right fund.
