Norfolk Employment Service

Norfolk Employment Service supports working age adults with a disability or longterm health condition who have been assessed under the Care Act and receive support from Adult Social Services. 

Our focus is on building employability skills and enabling people to access community based opportunities, including volunteering, work experience, training, and education. 

Who the service is for 

We support working age adults who: 

  • Have a learning disability, mental health condition, physical disability, or are autistic, and have been assessed by Adult Social Care under the Care Act. 
  • Are motivated and have expressed an interest in work related activity, including volunteering, work experience, or skills development. 
  • Do not attend a day service, or those who do but want to access work related activities that their day service cannot support. 

What we offer

An Employability Coach will work directly with each individual to provide tailored support, including: 

  • Confidence building 
  • Information, advice, and guidance 
  • Skills development 
  • Creating personalised CVs 
  • Help applying for opportunities and completing application forms 
  • Mock interviews and interview support 
  • Up to six months' additional coaching to help sustain a placement or activity 
  • Preparation for referral to Connect to Work (CtW) for those who may later wish to explore paid employment (where appropriate) 

How to refer 

Referrals must be made by Social Care teams.
