eBooks, eAudio books and eMagazines from OverDrive

To borrow eBooks, eAudio books and eMagazines from Overdrive on both Android (7.1.1+) and Apple (iOS 10+) devices you need to download the Libby App. If you have a Kindle Fire tablet, you need to download the Libby app from the Amazon Appstore.

Important information

OverDrive's web certificate provider, Let's Encrypt, is discontinuing support for Android operating systems (OS) 7.1.0 and earlier. Let's Encrypt certificates are used to secure connections on many websites and apps, including those from OverDrive.

With this update, beginning 15 April 2024, Android 7.1.1 will be the earliest supported Android OS for all OverDrive apps and websites, including Libby.

Starting the week of 25 March, impacted Libby users will see a message to update their OS or switch to another supported device to continue using the app. This message will include steps for how to use a setup code to easily copy their library cards, loans, holds, and tags to another device.

After 15 April, users with devices running Android OS 7.1.0 or earlier will be required to update their operating system or switch to another supported device to continue using OverDrive services.
