Fatal 4 - police led session

The presentation is for young drivers and riders, soon-to-be drivers and those likely to be the passengers of young drivers. They are encouraged to think about how they
can change their behaviour and avoid bad habits.

The sessions cover speeding, driving under the influence, mobile phone use and seat belts, as well as driving when tired and driver inexperience.

The session is delivered in school and lasts about 1 hour.

Aims

To help pupils to think about how they can change their behaviour and avoid bad habits as young drivers and riders, soon-to-be drivers and those likely to be the passengers of young drivers.

Learning objectives

On completion of this session, pupils will have learnt about:

  • Speeding
  • Driving under the influence
  • Mobile phone use and seat belts
  • Driving when tired
  • Driver inexperience
