Clothes

Your foster carer/residential worker will make sure you have good clean clothes and shoes or trainers to wear. They will replace them when they get too old or do not fit you anymore.

Your foster carer/residential worker has a budget to buy everyday clothing and shoes for you. If you want something more expensive like designer brands, your carer or residential worker may ask you to share the cost. This is another reason why saving is very important.

When you reach the September after your 16th birthday, you will get a personal allowance instead of pocket money. This will help you to become more independent as you'll be able to start paying for some items yourself like your clothes, shoes or toiletries. You should talk to your carer/residential worker and social worker before you start doing this so you can agree together what you will pay for and they can help you with budgeting.
