Introduction
There are different types of courses available to help you achieve your career goals. You should think about course levels and which will be the most suitable for you to apply for.
Academic courses
You might want to do an academic course like GCSEs, A Levels, T Levels or a degree.
Vocational courses
You might choose a vocational course like:
- Engineering
- Catering
- Construction trades
- Motor mechanics
- Health and social care
English and Maths GCSEs
If you did not pass English and Maths GCSE at Level 4 / Grade C or above, you can study these on their own, or with another course.
Where you can study
When you are over 18, you are likely to study in:
- A further education college
- A training centre
- A university
- A community space, your own home or online.
- Your workplace
