Paston Room, North Walsham
The Paston Room is located within The Cedars building at North Walsham registration office, in the heart of this market town.
Situated in an historic building close to the heart of the Broads, and a short distance from the scenic north Norfolk Coast makes it ideally positioned for ceremonies. The ceremony room boasts tall windows which allow lots of natural light to enter the space, plus a feature fireplace.

Ceremony times
- Tuesday - On the hour from 10am-12pm
- Wednesday - On the hour from 1-3pm
- Friday and Saturday - 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm
- Sunday - 1pm and 2pm
Capacity
The capacity is for 36 people (this includes children and babies) which includes the two witnesses and a photographer if you are having one, but does not include the couple and the two registrars. Outdoor ceremonies are not offered from this location.

Access
The office is located on the ground floor of the building and is fully accessible. There is a disabled toilet available on the same floor.
Ceremony arrival times
On the day, your celebrant registrars will meet you at the venue.
If you wish to arrive together, please arrive 15 minutes before your ceremony.
For couples who want to arrive separately and not see each other before the ceremony begins, we advise staggering your arrival times. Partner one will be required to arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony and partner two will be required meet with the registrars 5-10 minutes before the ceremony.
Please make sure you share the arrival time with your guests, so they do not arrive too early or too late, and to avoid overlap with another ceremony.
Parking
Pay and Display parking is available within close walking distance of the registration office. There is no general customer parking at the office, however there is a disability parking space behind the building.
Animals
Animals are not allowed into the building, with the exception of service dogs.
Music
We have a modern sound system in the Paston Room for you to use. You must bring your own music to the ceremony with you on CD or your phone. Wi-Fi is not available.
Photographs
You are welcome to take photos in the ceremony room and to use the front of the building as a backdrop for photographs, where there are pillars framing the ceremony room window.
Confetti
All confetti must be bio-degradable. Confetti is not permitted in the building or the grounds, but can be thrown outside away from the main entrance.
Food and drink
No food or drink is allowed to be consumed in the ceremony room.
Smoking
Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not allowed.
Visiting with children
Baby changing facilities are available in the downstairs toilet.
