Support roles in the children's care service

Person using a computer

There are many different ways you can be part of our service.

As well as the careers pathways, our teams rely on wider support roles. For example:

  • Business support roles that provide professional support, administration and coordination. They keep everything organised and running smoothly.
  • Some of our homes employ housekeepers, cooks and handy-people

Casual roles

Casual roles do the same work as the standard roles but with varied hours on a casual basis. This is to help cover any staffing gaps. Casual roles are also called relief roles.

They are level 1 roles in Residential or Supported Accommodation pathways.

Starting in a casual role is a brilliant way to join the service. You can understand more about the work, gain experience, access training and see if it's for you.
