About the residential service

The aim of the residential service is to provide high quality care. It ensures safety and stability for children.

All residential homes contain either solo or dual beds. Children stay in these homes with a plan to:

  • Move to a foster family
  • Reunify with their family
  • Move to a group living
  • Prepare for independent living

The residential service provides care for a wide range of individual need.

There are nine homes:

  • Two homes provide care for children with complex needs and disabilities. One of these also offers targeted and planned outreach support.
  • One home provides an emergency bed service. This is for short stays until long-term solutions are determined.
  • The other six homes provide bespoke packages of care and support for children

Short breaks

The short breaks service has four homes:

  • Two of these homes support children with complex needs and disabilities. They offer a fun, safe and meaningful stay. This promotes growth and independence through bespoke support packages.
  • The other two homes focus on supporting children and families to stay together. They promote independence and improve the resilience of both the child and their family. One of these homes caters for younger children and the other is for adolescents.
