The Walden Studio is located within the Corn Hall in the market town of Diss. This elegant Grade II listed building is an important historical feature of the local area.
Having recently undergone a large redevelopment, the Corn Hall now offers a modern space within for couples who wish to have their ceremony here.

Ceremony times
Ceremonies take place on the hour:
- From 11am to 1pm on Tuesdays
- From 12pm to 2pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays
Capacity
The capacity of the Walden Studio is for 46 people (this includes children and babies) which includes two witnesses and a photographer if you are having one, but does not include the couple or the two registrars. Outdoor ceremonies are not offered at this location.

Access
The ceremony room is located on the first floor. There is an accessible lift in the main reception and accessible toilets are available on both the ground floor and the first floor.
Ceremony arrival times
For couples who do not wish to see each other before the ceremony begins, we advise staggering your arrival times.
- Partner 1 should arrive 20 minutes before the ceremony start time and enter through the side door shown below, where a Duty Manager will meet and guide you.
- Partner 2 and your guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony begins. Please enter through the main entrance, where a Duty Manager will welcome everyone and direct you to the appropriate location.
For couples who are arriving together, please arrive, with your guests, 20 minutes before the ceremony start time and enter via the main entrance, where you will be met by a Duty Manager who will guide you and your guests where to go.
Parking
There is no parking at the Corn Hall however there is public car parking nearby on Mount Street, Chapel Street and Shelfanger Road. The bridal party and any guests with accessibility needs are able to be dropped off by the main entrance down the driveway (we would advise reversing down the driveway as there is no turning circle).
Animals
The Corn Hall is a dog friendly venue and well behaved dogs are welcome. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
Music
We have a modern sound system in the Walden Studio for you to use. You must bring your own music to the ceremony with you on CD or your phone. Wi-Fi is not available.
Photographs
You are welcome to take photos inside the ceremony room and outside the front of the building near the pillars.
Confetti
All confetti must be bio-degradable. Confetti is not permitted in the building but can be thrown outside away from the main entrance.
Waiting area
There is a small waiting area for guests with access to toilets.
Food and drink
No food or drink is to be consumed in the ceremony room. The Corn Hall has a café which guests are welcome to use before or after ceremonies, it is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 3pm (food served until 2pm).
Smoking
Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not allowed.
Visiting with children
Baby changing facilities are available and there is some space inside the Corn Hall for pushchairs/buggies. The Duty Manager will direct guests where these can be left.
