Reminder clocks

Calendar reminder clocks are simple, easy-to-read devices that can support you if you have memory difficulties, confusion, or challenges with daily orientation.

The benefits of the clocks include:

  • Improved time orientation: they display time, day, and date in an easy-to-read format
  • Reducing anxiety: they help reduce confusion about time of day or routine
  • Supporting independence: they help you manage your day with less reliance on others
  • Promoting routine: they help reinforce daily patterns such as meals, medication, and appointments
  • No wi-fi needed: they're simple to use and do not need an internet connection

Where to buy reminder clocks

We do not currently provide calendar reminder clocks as standard equipment. However, they're available to buy from various retailers. For example:

  • Search for "orientation clocks" or "reminder clocks" on Amazon. A suggested option is the Rosebud Reminder Clock
  • Manage@Home have a range of clocks for sale. You can also call them for free on 0808 168 5364

Things to consider before buying

  • Is the display clear and easy to read? For example, does it have large font or high contrast?
  • Does it provide the right level of information for you, such as time, day or date?
  • Are reminder functions needed, such as alarms or prompts?
  • What's the power source - mains or battery backup?
  • Are customisation options available?
  • What is the return policy and warranty?
  • Is it easy to set up and use daily?
  • Where can you place it so it's clearly visible?

Where to position your clock

  • Choose a location where it can be easily seen, such as your bedside or living room
  • If it's at your bedside, put it in your direct line of sight for when you wake up
  • Avoid cluttered areas where you may overlook it
  • Consider buying extra devices for different rooms if needed
