There are Operational Managers in every area, who line manage a team of front line and hybrid/office-based staff.

Their role is to support the service manager with day-to-day activities such as making sure there are enough staff working to meet the needs of the service, ensuring that those staff are well supported, and that service performance is monitored and managed.

What you'll be doing

  • Line management of a team, including regular team meetings, 1:1 supervisions and performance/absence management
  • Auditing service user records completed by staff, to make sure that people receive person centred support that maximises their independence
  • Working with business support to ensure that staff are appropriately trained and supported in their personal development
  • Making use of electronic scheduling system for staffing, case management system for service users and maintaining other electronic records
  • Assisting with recruitment and retention of staff, including arranging work shadowing and checking recruitment documentation
  • Supporting the Registered Service Managers in planning, directing, developing and managing the service
  • On a rota basis, support staff across the County out of office hours

  • Ability to represent the service at meetings and public events
  • A full driving licence and a car available for work
