Road safety for children and young people 

  • Pedestrian training that teaches year 5 pupils the basics of how to be a confident pedestrian, both near the road and on the road
  • An online webinar for year 5 and 6 pupils covering the ‘Green Cross Code’, road crossing skills and more
  • A national scheme delivered by Bikeability professional instructors helping pupils become better and safer cyclists
  • An online training session for KS2 pupils (years 4, 5 and 6) covering the basics of safety standards, responsibilities and more
  • This session encourages years 7 to 9 high school pupils to act out scenarios which they may face in their everyday lives
  • This session is aimed at 16 to 19-year-olds and explores the risk of being a young driver and/or passenger
  • Free session for 16-17 year olds who are interested in owning and riding a moped or scooter
  • Resources for teachers and families to support continued learning
