Support for older drivers
Driving is an important way to:
- Stay connected with family and friends
- Remain in work or volunteer
- Access community services and support
19% of Norfolk residents over 60 and who responded to our road safety survey in 2024 confirmed they knew where to get support to drive safely for longer.
At Norfolk County Council we want drivers to be confident and skilled to drive well and safely to support their independence.
To achieve this, it is important drivers acknowledge when they need this support and understand where to get this support from.
Norfolk County Council Road Safety Team offer the following on road driving skills course: Guidance for older drivers (GOLD).
