Meet Trish - Facilitator for the Making it Real Board
My role is to ensure that people with lived experience are at the heart of shaping services - their voices heard, valued, and acted upon.
I work closely with Board members, partners, and internal teams to foster meaningful collaboration and drive positive change.
About the Making it Real Board
The Board is made up of disabled people and unpaid carers from across Norfolk. Each member represents a wider community, bringing real-life experiences and perspectives to the table.
Together, we play a vital role in influencing and shaping services, so that lived experience is central to decision-making.
What I'm passionate about
I believe co-production isn't just a process - it's a mindset. It's about respecting people's expertise and ensuring disabled people and unpaid carers are genuinely involved in shaping the services they use.
Looking ahead
I hope Norfolk County Council continues to strengthen its commitment to co-production, making it a core part of how services are designed and delivered.
