If you're aged 16 or over, you can get a free mini health assessment at a digital health station.

Self-service digital health stations are available to use in Asda Great Yarmouth and King's Lynn Tesco Hardwick.

They provide a free, fully automated mini health assessment in under five minutes. Access key health information including blood pressure, heart rate, weight and body mass index (BMI), as well as assessments on physical activity, wellbeing, and smoking and alcohol levels.

Upon completion, you will receive an instant set of results. You will also receive simple guidance and recommendations for your health, and signposting to local support and further information.

More than 8,000 Norfolk residents have already completed a mini health assessment using a health station.

From July 2026, the health stations service will be expanding to new locations across Norfolk. Updates will be shared on this webpage. You can also keep updated by following Norfolk County Council on social media (@NorfolkCC).

Benefits of using a health station

Understanding key information about your health means you can take steps to look after it.

Checking in on your health, such as measuring your blood pressure, heart rate, and BMI, can support with identifying any risks to your health early on. This is important as it provides you with a chance to act early to reduce the risk of health conditions developing, helping you to live a long and healthy life.

Some conditions, such as those that affect your heart (known as cardiovascular disease or CVD), may not have any symptoms. For some people, the first sign that they have CVD may be having chest pain, a heart attack or stroke.

High blood pressure significantly increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes. It is estimated that around 4.1 million people in England are living with high blood pressure without realising. The good news is that most cases of CVD are preventable, through lifestyle changes or taking medicines where necessary.
