Norfolk Armed Forces Covenant
Norfolk's Armed Forces Covenant was signed at an official ceremony on 7 March 2012.
An Armed Forces Covenant is a voluntary statement of mutual support between a civilian community and the local armed forces community.
In recognition of Local Government in Norfolk's commitment to support the armed forces community through their employment practices, The Ministry of Defence have awarded the following:
- Gold Award
- Norfolk County Council
- Breckland District Council
- South Norfolk and Broadland District Council
- North Norfolk District Council
- Silver Award
- Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council
- Norwich City Council
- Bronze Award
- Great Yarmouth Borough Council
Norfolk County Council has signed the Covenant Pledge (PDF, 211 KB) to demonstrate its support, as an employer, to the armed forces community. Similar Covenant Pledges can be found on each of the Local Authorities websites.
