A new Independent Living scheme in Norwich is due to open in Summer 2029.
The scheme, which will be managed by Places for People Living Plus will provide 77 new Independent Living homes for people aged 55 and over.
The scheme will consist of:
- 54 one-bedroom social rent apartments
- 23 two-bedroom social rent apartments
This will form part of a wider housing development being created on the site which will include 12 one-bed Supported Living apartments, 6 one bed Supported Living bungalows and 28 socially rented general needs family homes consisting of 2, 3 and 4 bed homes.
Facilities on site will include:
- a café (open to community)
- hair salon
- flexible activity space
- communal lounge
- assisted bathroom
- car parking (with electric charging points) for residents and their guest, with accessible bays
- mobility scooter storage
- private communal gardens
Residents will have peace of mind with 24/7 on-site care and support.
Located near a range of local amenities and services, the scheme is an ideal location for Independent Living and is only a short walk to the nearest bus stop, providing regular services into central Norwich where connections to further destinations are available.
