Promoting Independence - Adult Social Services five-year strategy (2024-2029)

The strategy outlines several key priorities for Adult Social Services in Norfolk over the next five years (2024-2029).

These priorities include:

  • Benefiting from prevention and early help: focusing on supporting residents early to maintain their independence. This includes providing accessible information and resources for health, wellbeing, and employment.
  • Becoming, being, and staying independent: ensuring that people receive the right support to live independently, regain independence when possible, and avoid losing it. This involves offering a variety of housing options, community connections, and reablement services.
  • Living with multiple and complex needs: addressing the long-term needs of individuals with severe or multiple challenges by providing comprehensive care and support. This includes residential and nursing care, skilled staff, and flexible respite options.

These priorities aim to create a sustainable, proactive social care system that supports Norfolk residents to live well and independently for as long as possible.
