What they pledged
The Jon Egging Trust pledged to build its blue skies initiative in Norfolk - a programme already supporting children and young people across the rest of the UK.
About the pledge
Blue skies is a youth engagement programme designed as a three-year STEM-inspired syllabus. It provides young people who face barriers to learning with long-term support. It gives them access to inspirational teams and individuals to boost:
- Confidence
- Academic engagement
- Aspiration
- Work-readiness
Blue Skies has supported 45 students. This ended with a graduation where all the participants spoke to an audience of 50 adults.
In the future the Trust will be delivering an even longer programme. This will mean working more intensively with fewer students.
